Veena Nandakumar is a budding south indian actress who predominantly act in Malayalam films. She stared her career with the movie Kadam Kadha, directed by Senthil Kumar. She is present in the industry from 2017.
Veena Nandakumar hails from Mumbai. She was born in a Mumbai based Malayali family, her parents are Mr. Nandakumar and Mrs. Indira Nandakumar, who is from Ottapalam. Veena has a brother named Rahul, she did her schooling from St. Therese Convent High School, Mumbai. She had completed her BA degree in English Literature from University of Mumbai.
Acting was not in her wishlist until she got an offer from the industry. She moved to Kerala to participate the audition for Lijo Jose’s movie, she performed well in the audition but the crew rejected her. She had heard about the casting call of Kadam Kadha movie during this time. She participated in the audition and cinematographer turned director Senthil impressed on her performance.
Veena Nandakumar made her debut in the industry through the movie Kadam Kadha, directed by Senthil Rajan. It is the debut directorial venture of cinematographer Senthil and it features Vinay Forrt and Joju George in the lead roles. It has a rich set of actors such as Roshan Mathew, Saiju Kurup, Renji Panicker, Hareesh Kanaran, Srinda Arhaan etc. Here Veena handled the character Jeena Sreekumar, who is an MBBS student. The character Jeena is a bold character and has lot responsibilities, Veena got the idea about the character from the instructions from director. Senthil explained about what he needs from the character and Veena did it well even though she is a debutant. She got the complete support from the director and from the co actors.
