CHENNAI: National Award-winning playback singer Vani Jayaram, passed away on Saturday at her residence in Chennai. She was 78 years old. She was supposed to receive the Padma Bhushan (2023) – the third-highest civilian award in India recently,

Vani Jairam collaborated with some of the biggest composers across various industries and delivered evergreen chartbusters. The talented singer has a number of songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tulu and Oriya to her credit. She won the National Film Awards for Best Female Playback Singer thrice and also also received State awards from Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, and Odisha.

She sang several hit songs and notably in director K Viswanath’s films for which she won numerous awards in her collaboration with the Telugu film doyen. The legendary director passed away on Thursday.

She sang songs for Seetamalakshmi (1978), Sruthilayalu (1987), Sankarabharanam and Swati Kiranam. She received her second National award for Sankarabharnam in 1980 and her third National Film Award for the film Swathi Kiranam for the song ‘Anathineeyara Hara’ in 1991.

She won her first National Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal in 1975.

Known as the South Indian Meera Vani Jairam recently completed 50 years as a professional singer and had recorded more than 10,000 songs.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, aka MS Dhoni, is regarded as one of the greatest cricket captains of all time. He holds some of the best records in the game. He is now retired from international cricket and is spending quality time with his family.

Often called Captain Cool, Dhoni is happily married to his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni for over a decade. Not many remember that he once dated south actress Raai Laxmi. The two were often spotted together around 2008-2009.

MS Dhoni and Raai Laxmi attended after parties of the Indian Premier League. The former captain was even seen attending her birthday bash along with his friend and Chennai Super Kings’ teammate Suresh Raina. However, later they broke up. Dhoni then went on to marry Sakshi.

The actress later in 2014 opened up about their break up during a conversation with Zee News. Julie 2 actress said, “I’ve begun to believe that my relationship with Dhoni is like a stain or a scar which won’t go away for a long time. I am surprised that people still have the energy and patience left to talk about it even now. Every time TV channels dig into Dhoni’s past, they make it a point to bring up our relationship. I dread to think that someday my kids in the future will see it on TV and ask me about it!”

Raai Laxmi further said, “I have had three or four relationships after Dhoni, but no one seems to have noticed it.”

Talking about their break-up, she said that it was a mutual decision and they both have moved on. “I knew him really well and don’t know if I can call it a relationship because it never worked out. We still have respect for each other. He has moved on and gotten married. That’s the end of the story. I am a very happy person right now and work is my priority,” she added.

The former Miss World and India’s global icon has recently landed in France’s capital Paris to attend a star-studded event of the Italian jewellery brand Bulgari for the launch of the brand’s new collection named Eden the Garden of Wanders

Priyanka Chopra, who is the global ambassador for the label, joined Bulgari’s Chief Executive Officer Jean- Christophe Babin, Anne Hathaway and Blackpink’s Lisa for the occasion. Also, the pictures of Priyanka Chopra with Anne Hathaway and Lisa from the events are taking over the internet.

The pictures of the trio hanging out together was shared by Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra on social media. These pictures show Priyanka donning a sequinned coral gown with Bulgari’s Serpent necklace complimenting her jaw-dropping look while Anne Hathaway and Lisa can be seen twinning in shades of yellow.

Priyanka Chopra in Bulgari

Priyanka Chopra is one of the brand ambassadors of the Italian luxury brand which has also appointed Hollywood biggies like Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and K-pop star BLACKPINK’s Lisa.

Earlier the brand shared videos featuring Anne Hathaway and Zendaya. While Anne and Zendaya’s videos were directed by Oscar-winner Paulo Sorrentino, later on, Wednesday the video of Lisa was shared. Fans were disappointed that Priyanka’s video has still not been shared. Subsequently, a wave of demands was followed by them to release PC’s video as well.

However, later on, Wednesday, the brand finally Priyanka Chopra wearing a black bodycon dress with a heavy diamond necklace, flaunting her diamond rings as she walks through the Roman castle in bright sunlight.
